...just stop in the middle of the hall and stare at nothing for a while.
Or maybe the babe they just passed in the hall.
IT guys are worse.
Yup. And self-reflection.
I do what I have to do for the social niceties and then re-group from the horror of it all later.
.... although professional realities require me to deal with people, sometimes large groups of them and sometimes standing up in front of everyone engaging them.
Even still, I sometimes find myself avoiding attention unless it's required and I always need to recoup after parties or dealing with large groups of people. I think a lot of engineers and IT people are not required to learn how to cope with such things, and therefore, don't.
Saying phuckin HIIIIIIIIII is nothing more than an extrovert's lame-ass excuse for pushing their overbearing, obnoxious, always-have-to-be-running-their-mouth, aggressive, NOTICE-ME behavior onto the normal people.
This was one of the better sociology treads.![]()
In the greenhouse, we have up to 400 feet, in the main walk, to see one another coming.
Same sort of thing happened on the hiking trails at Calvert Cliffs yesterday. Some people very friendly, some, not so much.
Around here on the AT it's easy to look right at people and smile and say hi. Vast majority are openly friendly.
Actually, I was THAT person who avoided someone several times yesterday. The other person is someone whom I had been acquainted with in years past, and that person is SUPER annoying and if given the chance, will glom onto you and talk until your ears bleed.
Sorry, but I feel the need to mate a bit more than once every 7-10 years. Maybe I'm an extrovert after all.![]()
WTF is a scrump hole???
It's like a watering hole, but instead of going there to get a drink, you go there to ####.
