Hand Drummers?

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to southern Maryland in St. Mary's county :howdy:. Does anyone know of any informal drum circles around the area? Maybe at St. Mary's college or something? I'm looking to haul my percussion collection out of the closet and put it to use.

Thanks guys, and I get the South Park reference, but there need not be anything 'hippie' or 'know-it-all' about hand drumming. I just happen to like drumming is all.

The Rennaissance Faire in Virginia has drum circles at night. It's a lot of fun, I take my fire poi since I have no musical talent.

The Virginia Renaissance Faire 'such stuff as dreams are made on.'

There's also MD Renn Faire which is much more developed and has permanent structures, but you'd have a hard time finding a drum circle there. People camp out waiting for the next day of fair to start in VA, but you can't camp at MD anymore. You have to get a hotel or stay at a friend's place.

I know a few people who you may be interested in getting with.. There's also a great lady who puts on a little show at Anne Marie Gardens a few times a year. She brings tons of things for people to try and participate.:howdy:

There ya go, drum guy. You could meet a fellow drummer and meet a chick - two problems solved.

Good luck. I'm hardly ever there, am picky, and the rest of the girls out there are weird, ugly, or too drunk to understand.
