...quarry's and low visibility and COLD. I'm hopeing to certified this fall/winter doing the classes and pool work here. If I pass that part, I get to do my check dives in Cozumel!

Just do your check out dives here! Fun quarry diving, hittin that 3rd thermocline and dropping from an hours worth of air to about 20 min...

Jazz I love your coffee table and end table.. Where did you get them?

Thank you. I got them at Value City Furniture up in Waldorf. The furniture is very sturdy and heavy, plus it's very inexpensive compared to other stores I checked. The line is called "Arts & Crafts" and comes in both the light finish I have and a chocolate brown. I also have the matching sofa table and entertainment center pieces.

The thermocline is the boundery between the cooler layer of water and the deceptively warm surface layer. In the quarry it's very pronounced since there are no currents. You can even see it as a slight shimmering layer. We went below the second one at about 40' on the second day of checkouts. I didn't stay long. :lmao:
You tend to use up a lot of air when it's that chilly.
You are going to have a blast diving. Get one of those little underwater cameras or rent one. Just don't take a close flash of a barracuda. :lmao:
