How come I've never seen a pear pie, I bet those would be awesome. Just had some cinnamon and pear preserves and it was incredible.

For some reason pear pie and gruere cheese is a very common combo.
I heard of it on the “pushing daisies” TV show, and wanted to try it ever since.
Mrs made it, it was delicious.

I had pear cider in Gainesville once and it was really good.

There is type of mead made with pear juice added to the honey called, oddly enough, Perry.
The apple equivalent is called Cyser.
