AWW Thanks Guys!!!! Started as a pretty crappy weekend with having to say goodbye to our 35 year old Kylie horse and her pasture mate was now alone and not a happy camper. A great friend found us a companion mare pretty quick, so that was our weekend, making sure they were going to get along and settled in at the farm. My sister brought me back some heather mead from Wales and I will be cracking that bottle open tonight! 
Sounds yummy, says this mead maker since 1983. I have used heather honey to make mead a few times.
Sorry to read about Kylie, heckuva a Good on You for helping her have a long life.
Hope it goes well with the new pasture buddy.
