Went to sleep on the couch around 10, woke up shortly after midnight and went to bed. Been up a couple hours now. Really partied hard!

Good morning. 🥱 Went to bed at 9 what did I miss?
well, Svenghoolie showed a scary movie about a giant spider that was going to eat the world....so they sprayed DDT on it....A sheriff shot it with his 22 rifle, (military style semi automatic bolt action 12 magazine clip with a steel barrel) He will lose his pension I guess, after all it was a black spider....

Then one of my inbred neighbors shot a gun into the air around 10:45.... ummmmmm...thats about it

 I had Sven on in the background, have seen that one before.

Went to bed at 1:30am, couldn't fall asleep. Guess I drifted off around 4. I wanted to be up at 8 to put the roast in the sous vide, missed that by an hour.

Surprising how few fireworks there were.

Planning on a 'first day' hike later today.

The limited FoxNews coverage of the Times Square festivities showing 2 men kissing at midnight. They cut to that twice. The majority of Americans DON'T want to see that!
It looked like they had those 2 guys sectioned off just for that opportunity.

I liked the kid on the beach in Jersey for the Polar Bear Plunge. The Fox reporter said something like it's best to get in quick and get out and the kid, probably 11 or 12 years old, replied "That's what she said!" They went right back to Rachel Campos-Duffy saying "what?"

LOL I missed that part - musta been refilling my glass...
But the reporter at the end of it all did say one and done - he wasn't doing a polar plunge again!

Well, it's the New Year. Started taking down the Christmas stuff. Packed up the trains and stopped there. Can't take down the lights just yet. :ohwell:

This is what I'm doing, but since we had new carpet installed a week before Christmas we needed space in the living room to put all the crap that needed moved from 3 bedrooms.I only put up the tree this year (and that was done the 23rd). Won't take long at all to get it done!

I noticed it on ABC also. If I see it okay but they don't need to keep focusing on it. It's like "we see it, we know there are gay people". Happy New Year everyone.

The 2 best friends my wife and I have are a gay couple who have been together 43 years.
They just want to live their lives, be good neighbors, and keep to privacy in their intimacy.
They hate the current LGBTQXYZ shove it in your face stuff.

I went to Ocean City, MD with a bunch of friends and had a blast! :yahoo: I *think this is the first time I've ever gone AWAY (out of town) for NYE since the days I was in my 20's. I think I only went to Crystal City or Alexandria once with my BF back then. Mostly, it's been private parties of friends, or staying home as a parent and celebrated at home or went to bed early. :jet:

It was a lot of fun - we danced all night  I got to walk on the beach in the moonlight (the weather was foggy, but NOT cold) and got to bed about 3am. Yes, I was tired yesterday and will go to bed early tonight, too! But it was worth it!!
