Supper's Ready
I did it at my parent's house years ago when we tore up some old carpet and was surprised to see a nice floor underneath (it had a few stains that were difficult to remove, especially in locations tough to get at).
But I didn't think it was really that tough a job. Hope you don't mind dust (definitely wear cover to breathe), but even if someone else does it you'll have that.
I'm guessing the trim might be a little old, too? Something about a refinished floor with brand new trim just makes the work worth it. Good luck.

Every three years, Vince, marrone a mia! Remind me to tell you my stories about pronoun shifts, a common trait in parents!I'd pay the 2k to have it done, but that's only because when we were young, my father would have my two brothers and I redo the living room floor about every 3 years. Sand it and put 3 coats of shellac on it.
