Anything about the Duke Rape case?? Or has it been pushed under the rug?
That would be one big lump under the rug.

Seriously, it's hard to prosecute without evidence.

Watch Fox news any night. Since that case came up Beth Holloway-Twitty got a ticket on the Cindy Sheehan Express bus of "yesterdays news".

Last I heard the semen that was collected from the victim did not match any of the alleged defendants. There was a fingernail that was collected from a trash can, that had a match for DNA from the students, but that would be the norm, and got tainted from the trash can itself.

Fox News has something every night. The Prosecutor is the one that should be being prosecuted.

Yeah I am not home until after the news is off. And I don't stay up late enough to watch it at 11 or whatever......

Oh well.....sounds like it will just go away and never talked about again.

Now what needs to happen is they need to prosecute the lying "dancer".

It was a local story that for some reason (slow news day when it broke?) turned into a humoungous brouhaha getting ridiculous amounts of attention that it didn't deserve. I'm glad it's off the front pages.

That reason just might be the coincidental timing of the D.A. running for re-election (and after the arrests, winning). :ohwell:

The common-shared thought here is that the D.A. pushed and pushed solely to get himself the black vote ... since his re-election, the case has gone awful quiet.

I would sure like to see the prosecutor hung out to dry on this but stupidity isn't illegal. The parents of these kids have got to be spending a huge pile of money to satisfy the DA's whim.
