I love that! I am a former Wildcat! I didn't attend "high school" there, although 7th grade (Middle School) was lumped into the Secondary school, which went from 7th - 12th! I know the gal named Anna in that article, but she was 2 years older. I was friends and classmates with one of her sisters. I belong to the FSHS Alumni FB page. Lots of memories - even though I didn't hang out with those older ones, I do remember a LOT OF THEM, because they had younger siblings with whom I went to school. WE revered all the teenagers, of course. They were so cool and we had an idyllic upbringing during the years we were all stationed there. (we were there '67-72)

I don't recall the Pozzuoli guy having a name - I remember seeing him from the bus and people (all the parents ) referring to him as the Pozzuoli Queer.

I do recall Humpty Dumpty - she literally chased a couple of friends and I when we walked past her one afternoon after we got off the school bus to go to the base after school. We called her a bad name when we went by and she started yelling at us in Italian and running after us. Of course, she was fat and we were younger, soo...

I also remember seeing the "Campfire Girls" from my parents' car they were prostitutes that would burn a tire and stand around it to keep warm.
