Haunted Houses...

Saturday Nov 1st., at dark, there's a haunted cornfield thing going on in Ridge. 5 south. Right past Raley's on your right. You'll see the all cars etc.

It's put on by a local family and it's really good. Witches, ghosts, ghouls, surprises at ever turn of the maze and even monsters chasing you with chainsaws. My teenage girl left crying last year. It was great!

I wonder what time they close up shop.

I have off Friday but I'll have to work until 10 on Saturday.

Thanks for the heads up nonetheless.:howdy:

I'll call and ask and let you know just to be sure, but I'm pretty sure they're closed up by then.:ohwell:

BL,

I talked to the people doing this cornfield thing in Ridge.

They say they stay open until the last group goes through and it's usually not over until midnight or so. You'll have plenty of time.

Park in the last driveway before Buzzy's Store on your right. I think It'll be marked.

This thing starts out with a haunted hayride and ends with you running for your life.

You can go through as many times as you like, they don't really charge anything but do ask for a small "donation."

in the spirit of halloween...

we decided to make a "scarecrow".

The picture of the face is of one of our officers.

He's stuffed with bubblewrap, complete with moving arms. So today we played "Thriller" during XO happy hour and made him dance to the passerbys.

We got down there at about 10:15 and they said the last hayride had just left.

Damn.:frown:

Maybe next year...

Oh damn BL. Too bad. We were there around 7:30 pm. It was scary cool. I thought the hayride was way too crowded and was glad when they let us off at the corn maze. But it was worth it.

My youngest daughter did not like the monsters with chainsaws at all and screamed pitifully. They knew she was scared, loved it and picked on her. I have the fingernail marks in my left hand to prove it.

They do it every year. You'll make it eventually.
