I typically don't much drink beer or wine. :ohwell: Too many calories in both, but they also make me feel blech when I drink them. Though, I do like Mully's Blood Orange Blonde when I have a beer, I like a Ruddy Duck low hop py type of blonde beer once in a very rare occasion. I've tried the wine Slushies at Running Hare, and those can be good - but sooo sweet! I've tried the moonshines at Southern Trail Distillery and (not criticizing, just MY opinion) their drinks are typically very specialized. I've gotten a regular Crush with their distilled/housemade vodka and that's ok. But MOST of theirs are concocted creations that are like dessert drinks. And very big drinks with what looks like a TON of calories. I can't drink those, but that's just ME. I've tried to like their Redneck Margarita moonshine drink and it was good the first time I tried it 2 years ago. I had one about a month ago, and it was bitter tasting like the mix they use is not all housemade. Again -just a critique, my personal opinion. YOUR mileage may vary. I think their flights (they call them something else) of little 1/2 shots for tasting are much more interesting. You can taste different ones that way. But they mix all of those with a lot of calorie laden mixers and that is not appealing to ME.

However, they are all mostly very nice local business venues to hang out and enjoy! I've been to many on the list, except the ones mentioned in Va. to hear live music and sometimes, dinner, if they have food. Hanging out with friends and live music - much fun!
