Have a health need: where in SoMd can one buy ...

a) Packets/Tablets/Granuals of a hydrating powder...something to add to water that reduces hydration?
b) Vitamin boost to help immune system?

Wife will be gone for a week on a mission trip (Sudan) and it is the rainy season--there will be a lot of physical drain---we need to stock pile both a&b to make sure the trip does not turn into misery.

I stopped at GNC in PF...nothing.

C'mon, you Iraq/Saudi/Kuwait vets.....you know what works best?--where can I find a week's worth?

Any good sporting goods store should have A. For that matter WalMart may.

I would say get gatorade. You can also get a fizzy drink called Lukozade(sp), If you arrive in a major metroppolitan area go to a pharmacy and get glucose tablets. they are great. As for the bossting of the immune system, your regular multi vitamin/mineral should do fine. take plenty of insect repellent with you. Don not wear open toed shoes. Take loads of antidiarrhes meds, tylenol{ african equivalent is panadol or paracytamol(sp)},[alkaselzer{african equivalent is called ENO}. rainy season bring floods with nasty critters in the water. Whatever you do, DO NOT drink water straight from the tap. Stick with bottle water. If your mission is in the boonies, BOIL your water. You will be fine. On a side note, in sudan try thier dessert called kunafa...... PM me if you need any other info.

If it's not too late, try The Good Earth store in Leonardtown. I think that they have the a) type packets and would probably have b) too.
