Has anyone used any of these products? Wally world has about 5 different ones ranging from $8. to $25
If you have, did it work?
Thanks.

Have used multiple ones, and haven't had any luck at all. That is on a 2003 Chevy Cavalier, they were pretty bad when i got the car. But my headlight lens may be in worse shape than yours. Please post how it works out for you. Maybe a before and after picture of the lens.

Yes, please let us know which you buy and if it works, I have a 2007 Toyota and hit a deer and they replaced the whole right side of my SUV with new everything, but the left still is original, so now it looks so obvious that one side is new

Yes I have, spent more money on all that crap and none of it worked. I ended up getting new head light covers for my 2002 Crown Vic. Only cost me 75 bucks for new covers. Don't waste your money on the so called restorers. Don't know what type or model of your car but check on price for new ones.

Meguires Plastix works great and isn't very expensive. I used it on a Toyota btw, for some reason my Ford headlights don't fog/yellow like the Toyotas did.

That explains why I have never had this issue with any other car but the Toyota I now own.
I will give that a try.

The lens is covered in small scratches
Polish will remove scratches
Any polish

Yes they all work and so does any polish
Rubbing compound, aluminum polish, tooth paste etc

Surely you jest ...
I hear toothpaste is the way to go. Wet headlight, apply some toothpaste, use wet rag in circular motion. Then wash and rinse.

Do not waste your money on these, my HMMWV mechanic showed me how take cheap brake fluid and wipe lenses, works wonders!

I will give that a try.

My Toyota seemed to need it every couple months, My 2001 Ford truck still has perfectly clear headlights and I haven't touched them other than to wash off the splatted bugs once and a while.

You would not believe how yellow the rag gets.

So maybe ajax or comet might work? Seems like this might put more scratches in plastic lenses.

Too abrasive, I have read about people using rottenstone (powder).

Polycarbonate aircraft canopys have a procedure of using very fine silicon carbide wet sanding, but I swear it does not work as good as that $8 bottle of Meguires Plastix I have. That bottle is enough for probably hundreds of applications and it works on all plastics, I even cleaned the scratches off an old 1980's hand held space invaders video game I had since I was a kid.

I just used some colgate opti white, it cleaned it up some, way better than it was. I will try the Mcguires stuff.

How did the Mcguires work for you, i didn't have a lot of luck with it.

Did you use the kit with the sandpaper pads and the buffing wheel, or just the Plastix? The sandpaper process helped make a huge difference on my OEM headlights. I also use the Plastix and the buffing pad on quite a bit of other stuff, chrome grill sections, the plastic covers on my mirrors and even the windows.

The last one I did was with some 800 grit sandpaper, then 1500 grit. Then I used the Plastix and the buffing wheel, wiped it off, and went over it with a cutting compound meant for auto paint and a buffer. They headlights looks almost brand new, minus the moth inside the lens and the small crack.
