Help my son

Hi All,

I was wondering if there were any construction companies on this forum that need help; specifically a framer. My son, who is married with three children needs a job that can guarantee him a full week of work. He currently works for a guy that only gives him about 20-30 hours a week. My son has bills and not getting a full weeks pay is making it hard for him to keep up with his bills and support him family. He would like to stay in the Southern Maryland area. If there is anyone who needs help please let me know and I will get him to contact you. He is a good kid but just needs some help right now. We've been checking the classifies but there doesn't seem to be many construction jobs listed. He has been working in construction for at least 8 years.

Thanks

I think everyone in the construction business gets less hours in the winter time. Thats the way it is in the winter

Magnum

Should be Huntin
I am in construction and I work at least 50 hours a week. I drive to Rockville everyday from down in Welcome. Gotta drive for the money.

Most companies I know of are GC's. Bozzuto and Coakley Williams I hear are decent places with work in SOMD. My company is based out of Rockville, we really do not self perform any work so I can't help him much on my end

Marrick is hiring carpenters.

Magnum-
You'd look good in boxer briefs.

Thanks Bresamil,

I went to their website but don't see anything about employment. Do you know how someone would apply?

I have always been under the impression that if you want to work, you can find something to do.. The one time I did NOT have a job, I got a phone book out and started calling places and asking to speak to their HR department to inquire if they were hiring... And yes, I actually got a job that way... Why are you looking for your son? Maybe that is part of the problem....

Certainly they have a phone number on the website - give 'em a call. But I would have your son do this; most companies aren't interested in Moms calling to find jobs for their kids.

Peace
Tell him to go to the "classifieds" section here and try the "Employment" area . Might have more luck than asking us here in the forums. The paper comes out today too.
