I am speechless..

My thoughts exactly.
And it's sad to say but this is a bad time of the year to take in half starved unvaccinated horses. Any of us who would do that would be putting our own horses at risk. My heart goes out to them but IMO that is too big a risk to take.

It is unfortunate, I know I have no room for anymore or I'd be accused of hoarding, cept all mine are in good flesh, healthy, happy and vaccinated.

I wish I knew of a farm not being used and close enough to go and care for them. Does anyone know if they have all been placed at this time?

A friend of mine went up there she was even on the news...She sent me an email and said if I knew anyone heading up to tell them to be careful..they were wild and would HURT someone...not a good thing...

Now tell me what is done with them..and what tax payers have to pay to keep a dangerous horse alive for another 25 yrs....not saying anything else..read between the lines..

I agree with you all the way. Its instances like this where you have to use head over heart. Sometimes logic needs to overirde, and I do wonder what goes through the mind of the people involved in a rescue operation of this magnitude. I don't know if they even have the liberty to euthanise an animal they find dangerous or in poor health???..but it would be interesting to find out.

You are right! The ones in these pictures don't look that bad at all. The pony foal is a cutie. How is the world could someone accumulate 72 horses? We have 7 and it costs $300 a month just for their grain not to mention the fact that with winter coming we go through 10 round bales a month. And thats just to feed them .

you need pasos...a bag of $10 grain will last a paso 50 days...
