The Ratard got skunked last night late. What is the best way to get rid of the stink.
I used Dove soap and that seemed to help some.
in vermont people use tomato juice they say it works like a charm....might want to try it...something about the acid neutralizes the smell....

Didn't read the entire tread....so, if this has been posted
When mine got hit full force by a skunk, I used dawn dish soap, bake soda and a full bottle(8oz) of peroxide mixed together....bathed the girls in that(letting the mixture sit on their coats for a couple of minutes) and then washed them in their regular shampoo....no more smell
I'm really suprised that the skunk didn't find a new home after the first encounter....once they find out that their is a "threat" to their winter home they usually find another one
Gawd I don't feel like driving anywhere so I am going to try the peroxide and baking soda and see if this will work. She is only 9 1/2 lbs but OMG.... she smells horrible and she got it on my clothes.
I'm telling ya...go get the Nature's Miracle-Skunk..and ditch the clothes.
