Take out a second mortgage, pay off the cards and deduct the mortgage interest from your taxes

It's combined between Nell's card and mine. Second mortgage isn't an option since the house is barely worth what we owe on it.

Seriously, we had a string of bad luck last year and with-out getting to personal here we had to pay for some things we, and no-on ever plans on. We can afford our payments on everything so at least we have that going for us.

Well hell, then just do what they do and print up some more to cover your bills and call it "Quantitative Easing"
The quickest way is to write a a check for $32,527.58, it will be paid off on your next statement.

Stop spending money you don't have. Put the CC in a baggie with water into the freezer - that way you wont make impulse buys.

Shredded all credit cards except one. Cancelled the accounts. One credit card has nothing on it unless I really need it. Everything gets paid for by cash or check. Needless to say I get a boatload of mail from the credit card companies wanting me to get their card. My shredder is very busy.
