My nephew got a computer game for Christmas - City of Heros.

He hasn't been able to play because either our video card or the drivers aren't right. I did a screen dump of the message we're getting (see attached).

What do I need to do? I'm running Windows XP on a Dell system purchased about 3 1/2 years ago.

go ahead and click yes, worst case scenerio is that you will have to update your driver. if thats the case just go to one of the sites listed and update

Oh, boy...

Here's what I got...

"City of Heroes has crashed and cannot continue. You may need to upgrade to a supported video card or driver."

On the box the game came in should be a list of the minimum system requirements. What are they?

If you meet the requirements google
rage 128 pro ultra gl agp + drivers + city of heros
and see if you can find the proper driver to download

If your video card is able to support the min req's of the game; make sure he has the lateset directx upgrade also, (dec 2005 was the last one). That's something I ran into w/ hubby's new call of duty 2 game. That's some of the crap I had to do plus upgrade his driver. I am now able to get the game started but now the pc has other problems. Anyone know anything about the irql error message??

Go to "start" , click on "run", type in "dxdiag" (no quotes) and hit enter, click on the tab entitled "display", next to "Approx. total memory", does it say at least "32.0 MB"

If it says "16.0 MB" you are out of luck. Either way here a link to some cheap good graphics card upgrades...

SRAM or your DRAM R 2 Small or you just don't have enough operating speed for the software.
