Are you on the web from the same PC?

What e-mail program are you using? Or is it browser based?

Does it give you a filename before giving the, "The specified module could not be found" statement?

Have you run a virus scan? Also, is your virus scan up to date?

When you boot your laptop, do you use the Windows user name/password settings to log in? or, does it boot right up to the desktop?

Do you have the disc to re-install Explorer? Have you updated to the latest version of Explorer?

That sounds like a HUGE project!
Not at all.

Click Start -> All Programs (or just Programs if you have the old-school menu) -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore

Select "Restore my computer to an earlier time" then click Next.
On the calendar, select a date before you started having problems.
The window to the right will show you available restore points. Select one and click Next.
Follow the prompts from there.

Ok on the PC that isn't working, go here:

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Choose Bullet that reads "Restore my computer to an earlier time"

click Next

Pick a date on the calendar that you know IE was working.

Just keep following the instructions from there.
