You can also try going here C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files and delete anything that does not have installed as the status. System Restore can sometimes have some undesired results, especially if the restore point is very old. Anything you've changed or added (application or OS wise) since the last restore point was done will be gone.

Every time I try to do something on my PC, I get the message

"The specified module could not be found"? Any ideas?

TIA!!!!!!
Have you treid to do a Repair with the Windows CD?? Boot using the CD, and go to repair, follow the prompts.

It probably won't work either but it will keep you busy!

Going back and reading what you wrote, you may just want to go the microsoft site and re-install explorer.

Again, thanks.

I went to the MS site and looked over thses instructions which read more like a recipe for disaster to me! :lmao:

Think I'll revert to the original plan....find someone who knows what the hell they're doing!

Did you try the "System Restore" function as the others have suggested?

I haven't had to use it in quite a while,(since I've learned NOT to mess with the the Registry Files:smack: ), but it's really simple to get it to do what you want.

Just pick the date you know the IE program was working fine, select that as a restore point and follow the prompts.

Yes, it is that simple, IF you haven't encountered a major malfunction!

Give it a shot....
