It took several reads to figure out what she meant - because what it sounded like was way too stupid to be what she meant.
I finally concluded that - yeah. The STUPID interpretation was the right one.
What a stupid remark. One, I really would have to be stupid to marry someone here illegally. But no government is gonna “put” me with “someone else “. What an idiotic concept.
That's because you're not a creature that's driven by her emotions.
As the saying goes "what women THINK they want, what they SAY they want, and what they RESPOND to are almost 3 entirely different things, with little to no overlap" - sorry, Kyle, no Venn diagram.
I mean, taking my mother, and my stepmother as my original examples, that's the only plausible explanation for their choices in men (aka "dear old dad"). You know, dad, who joined the Navy at 15 so he could fight in WWII; who had a wife in New Orleans after he came home, thus effectively nullifying his marriage to my mother and later my stepmother (if that had come out). Amazing what you find during ancestry searches these days. Oh, and he was the same one who was a bootlegger in the Ozarks in the early '50s. Yep, got caught, copped a plea, went to prison. In fact, sometime in the late '90s, he actually died of cancer while in prison in the Southwest. Still don't know what landed him back in the slammer.
Mountains of evidence, including women on the street being asked "Good guy or bad boy?" respond with "Bad boy," nearly every, single, time.
Probably the same ones who say "the Bear," in 7/10 cases (last I saw).
