Hi J and K,

ipods rule! I've got an ipod mini, which goes with me everywhere. (it's here with me in NY state, on my wild and wacky road trip thru wine country - picked up 8 bottles so far) The only problem is it is too small to carry my entire music collection :ohwell:

Keb Mo sounds pretty darn good when you've got a wine buzz on..

Hey chaotic! Glad you made it safely. :huggy:

This is a 30GB model and says it will hold up to 7,500 songs. :yikes:

I'm getting ready to have another glass of the Cayuga White wine from Cove Point Winery I got yesterday. What wines have you picked up?

How many songs do you have (on CD or on the computer)? I've got about 10GB of stuff.

I'll let you know the labels, but we hit three wineries by the finger lakes. I picked up 2 Pinot Noirs, 1 Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 Tramminette (similar to Gewurztramminer), 1 ice wine (very very sweet), 1 blackberry mead, and one or two others I can't remember right now - they're in the car. We did tastings at each place, including the last one, which wasn't open and nobody was in there, but the door was unlocked

I have no idea. I don't have anything on the computer yet, but I probably have about 200+ CD's.

Yummy! I so want to try ice wine. I saw a special on how it's made - very fascinating and incredibly rare, so it's VERY expensive. I just saw The Tides Restaurant offers it for $12 a glass. I just may have to try it there.

I've gone to the Vintage Virgina wine festival several times and would love to go to others so I can sample that region's wines.

You're going to need a plan to get those CDs on the 'puter. Otherwise, the volume control on the ipod just won't work :yay:

The bottle I picked up was $24 for about a pint of the stuff. I can't imagine drinking more than a small dose at a time - very sweet.

I've picked up a few Virginia wines in the past, and they've been good. What's the Vintage Virginia wine festival?

I keep asking the people at the wineries, but they just look at me funny and tell me to sell my corkscrew..

Did you have any leftover cake??

I picked up a docking station for the iPod, too. Not sure what all it does yet other than

Considering how super-concentrated the grapes are by then, I imagine it is purely a dessert wine. I love one called Kijafa - it's a cherry wine, but VERY sweet. It also comes in black raspberry and chocolate cherry now. It's good when mixed with other things, like soda water or 7-up, to dilute it some.

It should be coming up shortly and it's held in The Plains, Virginia. Let me see if I still have the web site bookmarked. It usually coincides with one of the jazz festivals I go to; hence, I haven't been in awhile.

Yep, it's first weekend in June. I see they've moved it since I've gone, but it looks like a better location. In The Plains, it was on a very hilly slope area. Now it's at "Historic Long Branch Farm in Millwood, Virginia" and is between Winchester and Front Royal. Long drive, but well worth the trip. :yay:

:lmao: Probably a lot cheaper, but I don't think it's quite the same taste.
