I think Larry is saying that illegal immigration can be blamed for some of the issues with the current state of the economy.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are kidding and simply wanted to hear me spell it out.
If I am a 'baker' at Hostess making X an hour, plus benefits, vacation, whatever it is, it is NOT in my interest for a flood of uncontrolled illegal immigration to come pouring in over time because, sooner or later, no matter how fair I think my compensation is, someone is gonna figure out how to sell a competing product or service cheaper and better than my company by utilizing all that illegal labor that is more than happy to do what I do but cheaper. A lot cheaper.
The second dumbest thing in the world is unions supporting Democrats because Democrats support illegal immigration which is a death sentence to unions.
The dumbest thing in the world is the GOP which can't make the simplest of arguments to voters. Of course, the GOP has it's own conflicts within it's ranks as many GOP'ers are all for illegal immigration so that they can win in the market with cheap labor and many GOP'ers are totally against illegal immigration.
Either way, uncontrolled immigration is really, really dumb if a nation wants to survive, let alone prosper. Both the D's and the R's have gleefully torn the fabric of this nation for political gain by allowing it and have distorted and transformed the nation in ways that are really bad for what we once knew as the United States of America and, even worse, what we once were is WHY people wanted to come here. They wanted to get away from the mess we are becoming.

Ok,2 things here , 1) If you are a baker you're in the Union and anyone coming in would also have to join the Union,immigration as you talk about it in this case means nothing.
2)"Uncontrolled Immagration" as you say is really,really dumb .I couldn't agree more.Immigrints accept the Dems because the Dems accept them,the Republicans will never accept them that is why they will always ,always voted against them.

I'm just curious as to what makes one a baker in one of these automated factories..
What do they do? Come in at 7AM push the button that says A) Make Twinkies; B) Make Ding Dongs; C) Make Ring Dings.. go take a well deserved 7 hour and 55 minute break..
Or are bakers the ones that open the bags of mix and put it in the machines that make all of the above?

When I was 15, I worked in a bakery on weekends (all week in the summer). 10-12 hour days. Had to be there by 6:30 am. Learned to make cakes, cookies, bread and many other pastries. Pay was terrible ($1.25/per hour), but I as able to buy my first Marantz Amp and listened to King Biscuit Flower Hour and Jazz Fusion on my studio Koss Headphones at night. One of the greatest things I bought for myself, thanks to the bakery job.
Thank goodness there was no union there or the only thing I would have been able to do was mop floors or more likely would never been hired since I may dad was not a union boss.
Unions suck and they stifle the workers from becoming better. 30 years later, some of my high school friends are still turning the same old screw at the automotive factor.
