Make sure you're sending the "right" message.

The meaning behind the color of the rose:

red - love, desire, courage, good job
dark red - unconscious beauty
pink - perfect happiness, admiration
dark pink - appreciation, gratitude
light pink - admiration, sympathy, grace, joy
yellow - joy, friendship, delight, gladness
coral/orange - desire, enthusiasm
black - death
lavender - love at first sight, enchantment
peach - let's get together, closing of the deal
white - purity, innocence, secrecy, silence
pink and white - I will always love you
red and yellow - congratulations
orange and yellow - passionate thoughts
white and red - unity

I always ASSUMED that I was doing the right thing by sending wifey red roses, then found out (after 15 years of marital bliss) that yellow were her favorite. Thanks for the advice!

She is the kind of person who wouldn't ever consider returning/exchanging a gift, so I figure she was just happy that I never missed an anniversary or v-day.

p.s. I'm a guy, so she could've told me yearly, just this time I was listening. :lmao:

I know a man who bought his wife several dozen lavender roses and she actually #####ed because they went to the house instead of to her job where she could have showed off. Husband actually CRIED!! Such a #####!
Some people don't know what they have....Those two eventually divorced! Good thing, maybe now he'll find a decent woman.

Personally I like white roses, but would gladly accept anything I got from my hubby including wild flowers he stopped and picked off the side of the road. Its the thought that counts, not how much you spend or who see's it. I've been married for 20 years and I believe we've made it that far because we don't ask TOO much from each other. He's my best friend, my lover and my husband last~I love him with all my heart and hope he always remembers that!

He is, the kindest, funniest guy I've met....He's a very good friend of mine. He would do anything for a stranger walking down the street. I wish I had a single friend to fix him up with. Naaaaaaa, he's probably having fun being single again.
