I buythe rounds at the space bar if you can help.

Got this error when starting my PC:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt.

WINDOWS\SYS32\CONFIG\SYS

You can attempt repair by starting windows setup using orig. CD. Select "R" at the 1st screen.

Computer came with windows loaded so I don't have the CD.

This is not good because the PC has my NASCAR Thunder game on it.... :bawl:

Dude, why are you even using ME???

Do you have the original cd? if so you should be able to boot from it and actually run the recovery consol....

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's XP Home edition. Computer came with windows loaded so I don't have the CD.

Your gonna need a cd of the actual operating system to run the console if you dont have the manufacturers cd....

I put in a recovery CD but nuttin happened..... I only used it for nascar game. Guess it's time to search X-Box & Playstation threads to see which to get... :lmao:

Check and see if the bios is set to boot to cd, the boot sequence might be skipping the rom...

How come they don't allow you to have those discs? Windows XP is essential. I bought Office 2003 so I am glad that disc is in my possession.

While pc geniuses are on site I have a question?

Should I or shouldn't I install something that hasn't passed Windows Logo Testing. If I do what could happen to my pc? TIA :flowers:
