Small world. I know what road you live on based on a post you made a year or two back. My BF lives just about three miles from your road. He went to AO, Aircrew etc right after high school, worked on base doing I don't know something w/electronics/wiring/something on planes (I only pretend to listen). Probably no connection but it's unusual to me that so many of his high school friends are still his good friends and live in the general vicinity. I was a Navy brat and moved every two years. I envy people that grew up here and kept lifetime friends. I hope ya'll cherish those relationships.Absolute best friend from HS passed from cancer a while back, Stayed friends til the end. Next two in line? Still such good friends that a few years back, we spent a week hanging at one guys camp up near the lake from on Golden Pond. just hung and drank and ate and swam.
Not from high school, but not long after, literally the year after high school, guy that I went though AO, Aircrew, SERE and crew position school with before going our separate ways in the Navy, staying in loose touch that whole time. Ended up taking identical jobs working together for six years. He's my brother from another mother, closer to me than either of my bio brothers. We live about three miles apart, which those two young guys could have never imagined.

Sure do. Me and my Navy brother grew up in Mass and Detroit respectively. I was born here but Dad transferred out before I was three. I try to see my friends back home every time I go back.

Funny thing about this road I live on. Lady next door was my boss on base for eight years back in the early Oughts. Great lady, I stopped working for her about six years before I bought this place.
Ahh not him. He was born in Georgia. You probably do know him though; he's been on base for at least that long, played softball for years on a local team or two, knows lots of people from that, still friends with all of them AND I was talking to him about your road sign when we drove by one day and he said I know a guy that lives down that road. I went to his class reunion a few months back and watched him working the room...it was really cool to see how much they all interacted and how connected they still were.
