For the party? I thought this was just a one night event. I will keep these dates in mind. Hopefully they will have the animals out during this time.
Not for the party, for the drive through that they will allow the public to be on the property.

Knott's open house will be from Dec. 16th -26th, the barns will be open then and the country store. There will be no Santa this year.

Its nice that they are still doing this. I haven't been there in years. No Santa :frown: (Oh well, my daughter is scared of him anyway!)

Thanks for the info.

Directions:

From Waldorf, Maryland (it takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour - it might take longer do to traffic)

1. Go south on Route 5 (Leonardtown Road) which turns into Route 235. Stay on Route 235. (You will go through Hughesville, Charolotte Hall, Mechanicsville, Oralville, Hillsville, Hollywood (MD), and California (MD)

2. Turn right onto Chancellor's Run Road (look for Sheetz and Maryland Bank & Trust Co. (It's a bank), keep going to next traffic light.

3. At traffic light make a right unto Great Mills Road.

4. At next traffic light (Seven/Eleven will be right in front of you) make a right onto Route 5 (towards Valley Lee, Maryland), about 1/8 mile turn left onto Flat Ion Road (if you see the "BRASS RAIL" lounge - you went to far - turn around).

5. Keep going to FLAT IRON FARM about 1 ½ to 2 miles on right hand side of road ( follow the cars - you can’t miss it). Fireman will direct were to park.

*Santa well come just after dark. (Get there early - you won't believe the lines)

** If the weather is cold. Keep in mind that you will be on an open hill and it is usually extra cold - so dress warm.

ENJOY!!!

Thank you for posting this link. Since this is our first winter in this area, I don't know where to see the best lights. I think we will check this out.

Okay... someone clue me in... is this a "drive thru" light show or do we pay, park and then walk...

Drive-through. At the gate, they collect donations - money or non-perishable foods.

The way the add "suggests" a donation of $5 per car it sounds like a drive-through.

This might be a clue too:

They first part was not necessarily a clue because they could collect at the entrance to parking... The second part was missed because it was in paragraph number two and I was reading "yadda yadda" by then...
