That sounds tacky as hell.

What month is your honeymoon scheduled?
I've always loved the idea of a Montana dude ranch vacation. They have some very luxurious ones with private cabins and fantastic scenery. Mountains, lakes, horses, and a lot of good food and privacy.
I would LOVE to do that! Unfortunately, I don't think D would like spending that much time around/on horses.
But the sides are ok? And by front, you mean the bow? How far back does that go? I'd love to be able to sit out on the balcony (if in fact we decide to and can afford to cruise)!
If you plan on cruising in May, especially in the Caribbean, it will be hot (and humid) so you might not spend as much time on the balcony as you think. My cruise last week was nice and warm during the day (80 degrees) and cool at night with some winds. Although, there was one evening just after dark that the winds picked up and I swear a tornado was heading for us. The workers were scrambling to gather all the deck chairs from the upper levels.
I've noticed that many cruise lines don't even cruise in May. We're still undecided. We were considering Vegas then driving to the Grand Canyon. That was last week. This week we're thinking of driving to Florida and probably staying in the Keys for a little bit. If we drive, we can stop all along the way and go to different restaurants. I'd love to see Savannah.
You could fly to Florida (it's quicker and easier than driving) then hop on a cruise ship to Florida Keys, then Cozumel. Carnival offers a 4-day to these ports and you could probably get away with the cruise and airfare for less than $1000. On your way back, stop by Orlando and visit Mickey!
D won't fly.
Well, what part of the Florida Keys did you plan on visiting?
Can't we drive all the way down to the last key? What is it, Big Pine or something?
As a travel agent I would highly suggest to you to call one in your area. It will not cost you anything additional to go through a travel agent and you get their expert advise to ensure you have a wonderful experience for your honeymoon!
Cowgirl---A good Travel Agent will do the same thing for you. Normally they would hear of the special offers and price reductions before the consumer does. I have done it for my clients many times because I consider it to be part of my job. Maybe you are just not using the right agent.
As an agent do you offer Honeymoon Registry were the guest can donate to the honeymoon in lieu of gifts?
