Sorry, but if I was on the phone w/ my wife, and heard "OH My God!" "Click", I would have called her right back and then called the mall security & cops! None of this waiting 3 hours crap!

Obvious Answer

The only thing that could have possibly have happened, especially since the last words spoken were "Oh my God", was that she was abducted by aliens. If she was attacked by thugs, she would have said "Oh shizznit".
