yeah, I've had many issues with them.
the people at the rental office change almost every other month, they replaced everyone and even the maintenance people. Hopefully they will actually fix something for me now.....

yeah wish I could move across the street, but I'd be paying 300+ more for rent than what I'm paying now. I've lived at the Greens for too many years now, so my rent is still lot lower than for the new tenants.

Just to answer a couple questions

We do not pay water/sewer. I don't think bucket-washing a car uses any more water than say someone taking a shower so I don't think the water bill is an issue

I don't know exactly who came out and accosted me. The woman didn't introduce herself so I don't know if she was the big boss or one of the underlings on a power trip.

I don't know if I should go over and find the big boss and get final clarification before venturing out on another cleaning spree or just keep doing my bucket washes until big boss comes out and we get to hash it all out over a bucket of suds once and for all.

In regards to this story see my sig line, would be nice to be able to just smack the S out people for this kind of stuff. I agree, egg her car and see if she breaks out a hose.

AK, please note that the stupity in people never blossomed until, they made it unlawful to smack the S outta people and took away the right to spank.

I'd find out the name of the individual who told me bucket washing and waxing my vehicle was prohibited. Then I'd write a letter to the leasing office, copying the property management's corporate office, stating that you were approached by this individual who stated you were in violation of your leasing agreement by bucket washing and waxing your vehicle. Address the fact that your lease clearly (I mean, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to decode "hose washing") states that hose washing of vehicles is prohibited and that bucket washing and waxing are not addressed and therefore seem to be within the terms of your leasing agreement.

Seriously, you're in the right here. If they don't want people washing their vehicles period, then they need to make that clear.

In My Opinion
why cant you just admit that you are an anarchist?
were you wearing your bath towel wrapped up on your head singing praise to Allah while committing this vile act of disobedience?

I am truely sickened

gotta go wash the car now.

1) car washes cost money and I'm far too cheap to drive somewhere and pay money to do something I can do in my own driveway in ten minutes' time for the cost of a couplecupfuls of carwash soap

2) when you're running a sponge or mitt of soap you get to inspect your car in a way you can't at a car wash joint. You can take your time and scope out paint chips and stuff like that.

well I aint huggin

a carwash is the crappiest way to wash a vehicle. I feel dirty when I take my truck the spray and wash.

I worked detailing cars when I was in high school. I worked for a company that did the major dealerships in chesapeake and I also worked for a couple of car lots. You would never tell it from looking at my truck now.

Still the car washes can cause damage to the paint etc.

Even when I had a new car I wouldn't wash it. I hate to see those guys at the car wash every week, scrubbing their spinners.Plus the run-off is bad:neener:

I never saw much use in washing a car just because it was dirty. It lives outside.Getting the salt of after a snow storm or if you've got alot of mud on it is fine, but I can think of much better uses for the time and the water.

If you take your own soft cloth to the car wash to scrub your car down, you can abvoid the damage that an automatic car was does. Callaway Center has a ver nice parking lot and car was area:yay:

Hey, um....shouldn't these school clubs like Foreign Language club and whatever else start these parking lot car washes up soon, with the umm...global warming spring weather we're having? I'd much rather let them do it and donate a couple bucks to a good cause.

Now, if you get one of the local cheerleader squads, you'd have "hose washing cars"

Problem solved: Take your car over to basher's house and use the designated area with the hose they provide! Much easier than lugging buckets of water!
