A friends friend. She just was looking for someone so she can go to an interview and my friend told her I might do it. I just have no clue as to what to charge.

I pay my babysitters $10 an hour and my day care providers charge $30 a day for drop ins. Hope that helps.

A friends friend. She just was looking for someone so she can go to an interview and my friend told her I might do it. I just have no clue as to what to charge.

I guess that I'm too nice because I would charge very little or nothing at all to help out a friend especially if she doesn't have a job and is trying to get one.

How far away is the interview and how long would she be gone?

I would say $5 or $6 an hour. I like when you can just give someone a $20 and say thanks.

I have watched my friend's friend's kids as a favor in the past. :shrug:

She said no more than 2 hours. But she did say that if it works on Monday she will call me for evening paid babysitting if she and her husband want to go out. So, I want to make it a fee that I can live with for future calls.

Me too. I usually never charge but being as she said she will use me for occasional babysitting I want to get it right.
