I had a friend of a friend babysit for me in a pinch. 1 kid for 6 hours and it cost me $62.00 - yep, $10 an hour. I normally pay a sitter $8 for 2 kids.

I personally don't take any money, unless the children are monsters. I babysat 2 cuties on Saturday and didn't take anything. But I know people that take $7-$10/hour
