I guess it depends upon what you are looking for from your church. I have little kids and prefer to have them in some manner of structured program. I like the idea of having a large body of people that care for each other that can (and do!) pitch in to help in a variety of situations.
However, I recently have discovered the blessings of small group worship as well. My church has several small group bible study sessions for a variety of people (men's groups, women's groups, couples groups, singles groups, older groups, younger groups, etc). In these small groups you can get a chance to know your fellow Christians more personally, including an understanding that we're all pretty much the same.
Remember that a church is not a building, but rather a fellowship of people that worship God in a similar manner. If you want info about the small group stuff my church is doing, feel free to contact me, or check out
