Housing on Pax River?!

Our Family is PCSing in August th the Naval Base and are trying to figure out which housing to live in! This is hard when I all I have to go by are small pictures and floorplans. We have a 2 year old son, if that helps and would prefer to have a garage and a fenced yard like we have here. Any of the housing have those things?

The only housing with a garage is Glen Forest. It's nice enough....

the fence is a tall stockade type. Some enclose small areas, while others enclose a larger back yard.

I have no idea about base housing, but welcome to the area (when you get here).
Ignore the comments you are about to get about how horrible the area and its inhabitants are. Those are just from the people with sour personalities.

Dang . They're smaller than the townhouse we have here!!! What other areas have fenced yards? We have a dog and I think my husband is more concerned with the enclosed yard than he is with the garage. Thank you thank you for your help!

Ha! Thanks . I'm coming from Hawaii so I know nothing will compare! I'm openminded and don't mind a little culture shock . I'm sure I'll grow to love it there.

Yes, they're pretty small.

Don't remmeber the name, but there is an EM housing area by the Sail Club, SAR docks... I think I'd like living there.

This is like any other duty station. If you're the type that makes the best of where you are, you'll enjoy it. If you're the type that sits at home and complains about not having anything to do, you won't.

Hi there. I live on base, yes, Glen Forest is the only place with garages, when it comes to yard sizes, Conrad Heights and Lovell Court have the largest (but how large you actually end up with will depend on what exact unit you get in the park).
