This just reinforces my bandwagon statement.

and the eagles are are very close second my my hate list to dallas...

i've noticed...a lot of women who have no idea of anything about football choose to watch it, they decide to either root for the cowboys or the eagles...this should tell ya somethin

It only tells me that you don't know who the flock you are talking to. And if you don't think I don't know sports, you can kiss this. :moon:

Who classified as being America's team?

The moniker "America's Team" was devised by NFL Films back in the late 70's. Tex Schramm, the longtime GM, is often credited with the title and he certainly has never gone out of his way to deny it. It's been a great marketing tool for the organization. You have to blame the Sabols, though, and not Schramm.

On another note, why do people get upset when someone likes a different team than they do? Isn't that kind of juvenile? Oh wait, this IS southern Maryland.....

Whenever I am asked this, I always respond with, "because Dallas is America's team". Dallas also has the hottest cheerleaders and the best team to boot.

Ahem.......

Back-to-back summer-weather nationally televised games hosted by Washington and Dallas confirmed beyond doubt what NFL observers have been thinking for several years -- the Redskins cheerleaders are now the league's hottest dance team, leaving the Cowboys cheerleaders in their aesthetic dust. Twenty years ago, the Cowboys' pep squad may have been the best-looking and best-dancing in the NFL. Now, it's not even close -- the Redskins cheerleaders are No. 1 in looks and in choreography. Here they are, and here's their warm-to-the-touch swimsuit calendar. At this point, the Broncos cheerleaders tie the Redskins cheerleaders in beauty and the Eagles cheerleaders tie them in choreography, but Washington finishes first overall, including for game-day professionalism. (Professionalism in the cheer context meaning skin, or at least skintight.) Obviously, this is a debate that should continue throughout the season.

What's all the uproar? Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins, Bears, etc...... Bleah!

You know everyone in the NFC is just playing for the chance to lose to my Patriots in the Superbowl.

I was at DuClaws two Sundays ago and there were three of us sitting at the bar watching the Skins play. One was a Skins fan and between me and him was a travelling fan who had three favorite teams in his life and did not see the point of loyalty to a particular team. When I pointed out to him the Dallas and Skins fans are the most loyal and how the rivalry between the two teams is the strongest in the NFL, he doubted me (damn out of towners!).
When I told him there is something even more important than seeing the Cowboys win the Super Bowl and that is that I care about Dallas winning just two games most of all every year....both against the Skins.
He said I was nuts and an irrational Dallas fan....until the Skins fan chimed in and said the exact same thing. He cared more about beating Dallas twice in a year than winning the Super Bowl too.

I then told the guy I was wrong, there is one thing I want more and that is for Dallas to win three particular games a year the most......I want to see Dallas knock the Skins out of the playoffs again too.

Key words...
"a lot of women"...not all

just sayin. :coffee:

curiousity is aroused tho...why exactly did you choose to start rooting for the cowboys???

Actually, I was about 9 or 10 years old. I had a cousin who simply irritated the pizz out of me. He liked the Redskins and was picking the Cowboys apart when we were watching a football game, so I started rooting for the Cowboys. The Cowboys handed the Redkins their butts on a platter. I've been a fan ever since. That was back when Staubach, Preston Pearson, Drew Pearson, Randy White, Too Tall Jones, & Billy Joe Dupree were playing.

Spite is always a good reason to like a team

But yeah, better to have Grossman than T.O...aka..."The Mouth" :lmao:

edit: and norvus....that cheerleaders explaination is the oldest in the book...you don't have too root for a team cuz the women that just happen to be cheering for them give ya a hard on :yay:

Yeah, well, at this point, who's NOT beating us? :lmao:

I just don't think it's a good sign when one quarterback is named "Grossman" and the other is "Griese (greasy)." :lmao:

Good point.

But think of wearing a Romo jersey and hearing "Romo is a homo". I just shoot back "Who's winning?"

And I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER wear an 81 Jersey. Ever.
