How Do You Make Your Iced Tea?

I've been considering buying an Iced Tea maker but I'm not sure if that's the solution to my "problem" or not. I've always made my tea by boiling the water on the stove, pouring it into a pitcher (with a little sugar --- don't like it real sweet), adding 2 Family size tea bags and steeping for about 3 1/2 minutes. Sometimes it's pretty good and sometimes it isn't. How do you make yours and what are your thoughts on tea makers?

More countertop clutter. I make mine in the kettle on my stove. I use green tea and maybe a bit a of sugar. Girl likes to have a little tea with her sugar water. We have two pitchers in the fridge. Hers and mine.

Cold brew. 4 'family size' Luzianne tea bags in a gallon of water and into the fridge overnight.

Used to have a tea maker, more trouble than it was worth, too small a volume.

Gallon jar with lid. Same as above but instead of the fridge, put it out in the sun to brew naturally. :yay:

I leave it steep for about an hour. No to the Tea Maker...

I have two coffee pots. One for tea and one for coffee. 4 regular size tea bags to a pot. Perfect tea every time and never bitter or over cooked.

I have had this type [older model for 15 yrs]

Amazon.com: Mr. Coffee TM70 3-Quart Iced Tea Maker, 3-Quart, Blue: Kitchen & Dining

I keep wearing out the Pitchers ....

2 large Lucienne Tea bags ........

brew
pour into 1 gal container add sugar to taste,

while hot, stir until the sugar is gone, add either ICE or water [I prefer just adding water ... the ICE changes the taste]

Refrigerate ...

when I worked in the Blue Collar World, I drank a Gal a day - I have the Kidney Stones to prove it ......... now a gal a week

In My Opinion
I tell my wife that the container is getting low in the fridge,
then, like magic, a new full container appears shortly after.

Its pretty cool if you think about it

That is awesome, I do the same thing when it comes to food.

Also, to avoid bitterness, you should never boil the water. Just heat it up to almost boiling. It will be hot enough to brew.

See, that right there is why I am against 2 guys getting married. No way would another guy do that for ya. I like my female wife soooooooooooo much, after 31 years of marriage, I am gonna keep her.

I do mine in the microwave~
4 family size tea bags in a 4 c. glass measuring bowl for 4 minutes; let it steep for 2-3 minutes.
Pour it over sugar (I use 1 c). Add water.
Makes 1 gallon
Perfect sweet tea every time.
