Would you mind psychically imparting some of that not-me-by-God willpower to my Dad please? Round 4 treatments/surgery (I think) coming up.

Oh hun, :huggy::huggy::huggy::huggy::huggy::huggy::huggy:

Attitude is everything. And Laughter is the MOST important thing you can do during a time like that. YOU MUST keep the Spirit Alive and well fed with Joy and Happiness to keep the body going. Once the Spirit gives up or succumbs to depression, the body follows.

If he is local I would be more than happy to meet him and share some of my life with him.

This sounds like a long-winded fortune cookie. :ohwell:

For those that have never fought death...you just won't understand the mental and emotional strength required to win.

Have you not read my spider stories? :eyebrow:

And you are the not the only one who appreciates life just because you have "fought death." :rolleyes:

Dad's not in 'bad shape' as the saying goes, with regard to his cancer; some kind of neuroblastoma; he's just concerned about having to go through chemo and possibly also radiation therapy, yet again. Right now, he has a part time "maintenance man" job at a/the nursing home in L'town. So, he stays busy with that; mostly for himself, to have something to do.

While I appreciate your offer to meet Dad and share, he would not be ungrateful; but he would be p*ssed at me for talking to "strangers" about this.
"There's not a whole lot you can do," Dad says, and of course, he's right. "Just help your Mom." I said, "Just tell me what you want done and I'll do it"; meaning things like yardwork, which he has his own way of doing, and that kinda thing.

I can completely relate to your dad's POV. When I went through it no one knew except my close friends and my husband. It really is a private affair for some. I never thought I would die and in my mind I was invincible. Sometimes being a young stupid kid has its positive sides.

But afterwards (four yrs later to be exact, I almost died during an operation because I was overdosed by the anesthesiologist), the reality hit home for me and now I keep close tabs on any possibility of cancer. I’m not scared to die. I’m scared of missing out on my future with my son, husband, future grand kids…etc. That’s a huge part of why I am such a health freak now.
