We went through Cherokee after Pidgeon Forge in May. I wasn't that impressed. :shrug: The trip was nice, but there's not much besides cheesy touristy stuff in Cherokee. We didn't go to the casino though.

Definitely drive the Blue Ridge Parkway though! And make sure you have good brakes! :lol:

The villages are set up as an eduction tool. They teach basket weaving and various history but it's not how the area residents really live, so most of the "shops" are stocked with products made in China. :lmao: But if you didn't see "Trail of Tears" I do recommend it. The casino is a Harrah's, but Cherokee county is a dry county, which means you only get free soda, not alcohol.
