Oh, I don't want your Jetta. I've got my own nice luxury ride.

OH! got it now... thought you were saying you were gonna do a trade chain trying to work your way to getting my car. but if you want to trade chain to get something FOR my car... might be up for that.

Though, I got so much stuff for my car for Christmas I haven't even put a dent in it yet.

I bowl overhand
Just got home from there. Nasty food. Waitress seemed like she didn't really know where she was or what she was doing. Food came out before appetizers by about ten minutes

They did the same thing to us, and blamed it on the computers (should be the same ones used in ALL Olive Garden's I would think).. but the waiter apologzed (not the person that brought the food) and brought the manager over without us even asking.

The first server was going to take it and just put it under the warming lights, but the manager told her to toss it and get new when it was time (it was the same plate when it came back out after the Calamari).

Have to expect growing pains, but I would assume most of the wait staff in there are from other Olive Garden's for the first few months at least.

i'll think of one.....
Have anybody been to the Olive Garden since they open in california, md?

my wife and i went there last week, i think early on Thursday (after lunch before dinner) so the wait wasn't too long, actually she waited (she really likes the Olive Garden) and i went to Lowes. the wait staff seems to be trying very hard and was extremly friendly and made sure our drinks were full and came back to check on us regularly. i was also impressed with my food, i got a dish that included steak medallions that were pretty thin, i asked for them to be cooked medium, and thats how they came out. nice and pink in the middle. most places would not have gotten that right with steak that thin, hell most places can't get that right regardless of how thick the cut of meat is. so i was happy.

Although the Olive Garden is a "chain" restaurant, it is not unlike others in the area such as Outback, Cheesburger, Ruby Tuesday, etc. The food is tolerable at best but a far cry from GOOD Italian food. This is just a matter of a new place to eat for people around here and will die down in about 6 months or so guaranteed!
What we really need down here are some mom n' pop restaraunts that have REAL authentic cooking at good prices. Also, we need a decent bakery! We have one in Wildewood that is pathetic! I bought some doughnuts and a $3 conoli:cds: from there and all of them were terrible!!!!

I will say that the CD Cafe in Solomons is great. I have tried all of the above places and was not thrilled at any of them. Some for the food and others for the prices.

I think the problem (and I hate using this overused term) is "with this economy" that people are scared to open up resturants. I think that is why alot of chain places do well around here compared to DC, Baltimore, or Annapolis. I think the Irish place is good. But Linda's I have not been to impressed with when I have gone in there (service and the food).

I like Wildwood Bakery (along with a few other people). But I am not sure if doughnuts are their "thing." If you have tried their other stuff like their cakes or cookies, then maybe you might be surprised. But I can understand what I (or my friends) like other people might not.
