do you wait before you start to really bug the crap out of an ebay seller? I won an auction on ebay at 6:50 pm Sunday, I promptly paid for the item then sent an email to the seller saying that I would like the item as soon as possible because I need it for vacation. This morning, no response, so I sent another email to their personal account (not through ebay) and hopefully they will get back to me this morning.

This seller only has/had one item up for auction so it's not like they are innundated with answering emails for auction items.

I'd give them at least 2 days or even 3 before pestering them too bad. Did you pay for express shipping or regular parcel post???? Odds are you won't get it before this weekend no matter how prudent the seller is.

I paid for regular shipping, but haven't gotten a response to my emails yet. I really don't need the putter until the 1st of August but I'd like to get a few rounds on it before I do battle against my BIL and FIL and the SOMD'ers at the open.:instantgratificationguy:

Sometimes I have sellers that ship quickly but don't take the time to send emails. The weekend is definitely a slow time for response, too. Give it a couple of days...you may find your item shows up before you hear anything from them.

Well, the email I sent to the seller (through ebay) was sent back to me saying "delivery failed", "resources temporarily unavailable". I guess I will have to wait another 24 hours or so until I pull the plug and file a claim. That was a good deal on that putter too. :kickingdirt:

Just checked paypal and the seller has not claimed the payment yet. :ohwell:

Seriously, I wouldn't get too excited until Thursday. What will really piss you off is when you get the tracking number and watch the progress of the putter. If standard shipping is 3-7 days, they will use every bit of it. That is the shipper punishing you for not buying next day or overnight shipping, not the sellers fault.

What do you mean....??? The buyer does not have to "claim" the payment. It
is sent to his account automaticly.

Payment was still pending...

Still no putter...allegedly she was in the middle of switching internet providers while she had this auction going on and her "operating system cannot run her new internet connection". So she basically has no internet until she gets a new computer. BUT, she has yahoo mail which she can check from any computer and she waited 4 days after auction had ended before she emailed me. She said she was going to put it in the mail (USPS standard) on Friday the 20th. She only lives in Tennessee so I should have my stuff by now wouldn't you think?

Evidently I am dealing with:
1) A group of shysters
or
2) Roadkill from the information superhighway:doh:

My item "allegedly" was shipped priority mail on the 31st. GREAT! especially since it was supposed to be mailed on the 20th. Hey, what's an 11 day delay? I've already got your money. BUT, "I can't find the tracking number or receipt for it." Daughter is selling item for mom and dad, but daughter listed her daughter's (granddaughter) cell as her contact number because her phone is "broked" (direct quote from email). Daughter was supposed to mail the putter but didn't because she went on vacation.

Since this group of idiots failed to respond to emails, and phone calls I started a case with conflict resolution with paypal. As I was talking to the daughter, (I was trying to get a message to the seller) she said something to grandma then they hung up on me.:burning: I called them back and told them that I was initiating a complaint against them for not delivering my item and not responding to any attempts to communicate and I reminded them that they were involved in a legally binding contract with me. Well lo and behold I get two text messages AND an email from someone who said that they didn't have internet access. I gave them until 11 am to get back to me or I was going to move to the next step of conflict resolution which is an investigation by paypal.

:yeahthat:

When you buy from eBay, check the seller's rating before you put in your bid. No matter how bad I want the item, if the seller has too many negative feedbacks I'll flake them off.

HOWEVER I had an annoying experience with the seller for my son's autographed Shaun Merriman jersey (I got it for him for his bday). No communication, emails went unacknowledged for a good three weeks. Finally, I get an email from her saying she'd been sick and the jersey was in the mail. And it was - my son got it a couple days later.

BUT when I went to leave feedback, the item had disappeared off my list. So I'm wondering if sellers have the ability to disallow feedback when a customer has had a negative experience?

Duly noted sir. :yay: I am going to have to agree with you on the stupid part. I think a ne'er do well daughter was supposed to be takng care of this for her mother and dad and totally dropped the ball.

I know that other folks have had shaky dealings on ebay and I was looking for advice and a little ventilation.

They have no tracking number but I do have the receipt number and it was mailed at 1405 on the 31st. I took a chance on someone who was a first time seller and hopefully both of us learned a lesson.
