It struck me down too.kwillia said:There is a nasty bacterial sinus infection thingy going around in this county. It usually starts as a severe headache in the forehead area... possibly off to one side or the other. A few days later... it is followed by drainage in the throat and phlemy coughing that expectorant can't seem to touch. If this is what you end up with... I would say hit the doc when the phelm turns cloudy.
For now... you may want to take a decongestant with ibuprophren.
I've had those. This one is different. With those I have to lay down in a dark quiet room until it over.BOHDEN said:Wish i really could help, I suffer from migraines and the can last for several days.

Could be the "change"migtig said:Bre,
If you have had a headache and have been taking over the counter medication for more than 2 to 3 days, you do need to seek medical attention. It could be that you are developing allergies (your body changes as you get older), you could be going thru the "change" early in life (been known to hit women as young as 30), you could have a sinus infection, ear infection or any other type of infection, you could have a tumour, so forth and so on. To rule out any complications or serious illness, it is worthwhile to seek a medical opinion and receive proper treatment so that you won't have to suffer or even worry anymore. It could be something extremely simple and easily fixed. Why wait to call the doctor?

I've had allergies forever, and I'd welcome the change. You and Elaine are right. I'll head to the docs. Just a quick sidetrip to smack the bejesus out of Pete and I'll be on my way.migtig said:Bre,

Be sure you don't break a bone smacking me. Osteo can be a biatch at your age.bresamil said:I've had allergies forever, and I'd welcome the change. You and Elaine are right. I'll head to the docs. Just a quick sidetrip to smack the bejesus out of Pete and I'll be on my way.
Great. More fuel for Dustin's fire. I hope he doesn't duct tape us all inside the house.kwillia said:
It was part of my walking pneumonia. Dehydration and congestion caused the headache.Geek said:I read that if you have the worst headache of your life you should go to the doctor. 3 weeks after I read that, I had the worst headache of my life, went to the e.r. had meningitis. Headaches can be a symptom that helps you save your life, or it is just everyday stuff. Don't forget to drink water too, sometimes being dehydrated gives you a headache. Good Luck
