How old were your kids when they ...

started forging your signature for personal gain/CYA?

I have a pretty easy siggy, and DQ's had a fun time mocking it by writing it herself and she's damn near got it nailed ... generally speaking, when does this becomes an 'issue' as far as kids doing it with malicious intent. I don't think she's there yet, though. Just curious.

I don't recall ever forging my parents' signatures as a kid/teen.

In My Opinion
If I would have ever forged my parents names for personal gain, my father would have broke off my arms and legs, thrown me on the porch and changed my name to Matt.

No shiat! I was terrified of my father and I would have NEVER, nor did I ever, do anything like that.

Mine would have broken off my arms and legs, thrown me in the pool and changed my name to Bob.

My kids have never forged my signature that I'm aware of. I'll find out when they're 30 and out of my jurisdiction.

Too late!

Maybe they'd have broken off your arms and legs, thrown you in a pile of leaves and changed your name to Russell.

My mother was the secretary at the elementary school I attended. She was plugged into the "Old Girls" network the entire time I attended public shool. I got away with NOTHING :bawl:

I found out this year that my #1 DIL came over and forged an F to a B on my #2 son's report card one marking period, until he got his grade up. Nothing I can do about it now :killingme

That would be hard to do now that report cards are computer generated.

I said "hard" not impossible, because where there is a will there is a way.

That was back in the day... Hopefully, computer savvy kids can't do it.

I only did it twice. I tried my mothers first but her handwriting is so pretty. I got caught, my father on the other hand was pretty easy. It was just a scribble and you could only make out 2 letters.

That's how mine is ... it's really my initials scribbled.

You're all F'in Mad...
My best friend in high school could sign my Mom's name better than she could. Of course, I only had her do that when my Mom forgot to write the real note.

But, to answer your question, I would guess that this could become a problem in 8th or 9th grade?

I forged my moms name all the time in highschool. Got away with it too. But I'm not telling my kids that. :lmao:

My 8th grader forged my name last year and got caught. It wasn't purty.

I began forging my mother's name in 7th grade. I don't remember when I quit because everything after that is kinda hazy...

heck my mom had me do it! She used to tell me to do it all the time. Se would forever send me to the store with her CC and I would sign her name and she always had me sign notes for school. Got to the point when I would just do it and not even tell her!
