How rescue's make some decisions

Pork Chop was adopted by a great family with a Boxer pup and two children. He's doing very well and is a much loved member of their family. And..no..the family is not a member of any rescue. They happened to see Pork Chop where he was being kept and visited with him several times on their own before contacting SHR about adopting him. They are well aware of his past experiences and the opinions of some on this form.

Thank you to those of you who kept his name active on the forum. :yay:

Is his attacking the neighbors dog an opinion?

As long as the people actually know his history there is no harm or no foul. that certainly wasn't the case with mike and bay, or whoever the "rescue" adopted PC out to the first time.

Yeah she edited her comment to cover that they knew about his past attacks. It seems she thinks this exonerates Unix and Second Hope for their denials about his aggressiveness (that they felt comfortable enough to post about on here)

No rescue adopted him out the first time. SHR only became involved after Mike and Bay turned him into Tri County. I have been involved with Pork Chop for about 4/5 years from when he was originally left at Tri County when his original owner was deployed to Iraq.

Before bashing the dog like you did, and those of us who helped him, you should have taken an hour or two and actually met the dog. He is a wonderful, loving dog who is protective and territorial of his home....not very unusual for most dogs.

I am extremely grateful to SHR for all they did for this beautiful animal.

He is pictured here with my son.

Have a nice day. Pork Chop has a great home, is a great dog and all's well. You'll have to find another topic for your obsession.

Before I did the adoption, I SENT them to this forum to read everything about Pork Chop, so they know everything that everyone on this forum knows (or thinks they know)... except they also know the "real" Pork Chop and how loving he is and how well behaved he is w/owner's that know what they are doing.

 Actually, the drool melted his skin.

I was there that day... there were many drool slingers.

Pork Chop was always friendly to me............

He loved my son and I :shurg: Total sweetheart. Actually, I can't think of any dog from SHR that I felt uncomfortable around, especially the Mastiffs, oh how I LOVE the mastiffs, those drooly pile of love and wrinkles

The only problem I had with him was he was so wet.....
