How to care for a baby vole?

Katelin

one day the dark will end
I know that it is a flying squirrel. I now have 2 of them, both males. I have not fed them KMR. They weight 20 grams and I have been feeding them every 3 hours. The syringe may look big but the tip is perfect. It works better than an eye dropper. Both babies are doing great! I will be taking care of them today and tonight they are going to a man who has raised many squirrels with great success.

You are smart not to use an eye dropper.
Babies can aspirate very easy and you can not control the flow, besides, squirrels are suckers, not lappers.

Here is one of my flyers using a silicone (soft) tip on a 1 ml syrings:

Yeah, for this guy!!

I just had another smaller one (snake) near the fence driving the dogs close to insanity. I'm guessing they found the second squirrel this morning when she had the dogs out. Can't blame the snakes for being in our yard though. Evidentially it's easy pickens here lately.:ohwell:
