Went to the Corps instead. Air Force recruiter was a slob. Instant turn off. Glad I picked route I did. No regrets. Miss the hood but it has changed so. Would never go back to live. Visit Mom and sis and that's it.

Where did you grow up??

Scars are marks of honor.. part of growing up!!

Saw a commercial the other day where a little boy was talking about his mom telling him.. "Rub this on your cut so there won't be any scar!" Cut was above his eyebrow.. When I grew up the kid would have been beggin his mom to NOT use it so he could have a cool scar on his forehead..

And of course with scars, come memories, and cool stories..

LOL, I also grew up in a no sticky sock society, must have well over 100 stitches throughout my body...

My area was but walk 10-20 blocks in any direction and you were in China Town, Little Italy, Jewish Neighborhoods, etc. Some really weird looking kids walking around in our area. My family reunions look like a gathering of the United Nations. My family is from Spain and Puerto Rico...
