An ambulance just came down our street and stopped in front of our house where the street dead-ends. They sat there for a minute then turned around in the neighbor's driveway and sat in front of his house for a while. Then went to the next house and sat there for a minute or so. Then backed up a little. Then drove to the stop sign and turned left. I figured they were going to someone's house down the hill, but all of a sudden they backed UP the hill and turned down onto our street again. They parked in front of our house, grabbed their gear, and started running through our yard to the house! C called down the hallway, "Did you call an ambulance?" all casual like he was asking if I'd ordered a pizza. Of course I didn't, so he went outside and helped them find the house they were looking for.
It's stupid - the house they wanted is on the street you're on before you turn onto ours, but I guess the lot faces our street so their address is our street. This is the second time this has happened that we know of. Apparently the little girl has asthma attacks. I can't imagine watching your daughter's ambulance searching for your house on the wrong street.
They need those GPS things.
