How weird

An ambulance just came down our street and stopped in front of our house where the street dead-ends. They sat there for a minute then turned around in the neighbor's driveway and sat in front of his house for a while. Then went to the next house and sat there for a minute or so. Then backed up a little. Then drove to the stop sign and turned left. I figured they were going to someone's house down the hill, but all of a sudden they backed UP the hill and turned down onto our street again. They parked in front of our house, grabbed their gear, and started running through our yard to the house! C called down the hallway, "Did you call an ambulance?" all casual like he was asking if I'd ordered a pizza. Of course I didn't, so he went outside and helped them find the house they were looking for.

It's stupid - the house they wanted is on the street you're on before you turn onto ours, but I guess the lot faces our street so their address is our street. This is the second time this has happened that we know of. Apparently the little girl has asthma attacks. I can't imagine watching your daughter's ambulance searching for your house on the wrong street. :ohwell:

They need those GPS things.

It is NOT funny when two drunken friends call you at 2:30 in the morning "because we knew you'd still be up."

We've had the ambulance to our house several times. They've never had any trouble finding us, but I still have someone stand outside and watch for them. One time I didn't have anyone to watch for them, so I left the front door open.

Now, the UPS guy is another story.

I was pulling out of Giant in the First Colony Shopping Center to get into the road that dumps onto 235. I look up and there's a car heading directly towards me! :yikes: The dumbazz went on the wrong side of the median and is heading in the wrong direction. The moron fortunately notices there are now cars COMING TOWARDS THEM, then stops completely in the middle of road absolutely confused.

Fortunately, there's enough room for them to make a left turn and exit the roadway to head south on 235. Thank goodness that was the last I saw of them.

...if the driver had...wings, a bag of fries and a beak, did you?

Someone looking for the Seagull?
No.

BTW - Sharon and 2A saw the "seagull" walking down the road again, but said it was a pigeon. I obviously DON'T know my birds as well as I thought I did.

If I'd've known that was your bird, we'd have picked him up and given him a ride to your house. :lmao:
