A friend of mine told me a funny way to figure out your dating age span.

1. Take your age divide it in half , then add 7 yrs. to get the youngest you
can date. (for me this is 24)

2. Take your age subtract 7 yrs, then multiply by two to get the oldest you
can date. ( for me this is 54)

Seems like a big gap to me. :ohwell:
I know the first one (AKA the "half-plus-seven rule"), but never heard the second (which is actually the reverse of the first). I also thought the first rule just applied to guys and is a rule-of-thumb for figuring out "how young is too young".

Here's my own formula:

If you are a female, take your age and subtract one month for every year of your life - this is your low end.

To find your high end, take your age and add 3 months for every year of your life.

If you are a male, reverse this formula - subtract 3 months for every year of your life to find your low end. Add 1 month for every year of your life to find your high end.

So now it's 20 -27.5....that low end sounds a little better.

That's funny. I use this formula as a general rule for whom I may date.

Key:
u = union
&& = intersection

[[(their income) >= ((My income * 0.8))] && ((number of children) < 1) && (iq > 120) && [[ [((my age) - 3)] <= (their age) < ((my age) +3)]] u [((their age) <= [(my age) + 30] ) && ((their income) >= $450,000)]] && [their attractiveness rating >= 7.2] && [distance <= 60 mi.] && [felonies = 0]] && (female=true) && (human=true) = true

I'll leave the venn diagram as an exercise to the reader.

I am eating my lunch and thanks!:kiss: I still like my 10 years either way. 62 just doesn't cut it with me...I have not found a 62 yr. old with my tastes in music and activities.. :ohwell:

That's because you are a young spirit my dear. I couldn't imagine you with a 62 yr old either. He would have to be filthy rich.

Is music taste really a criterion for the people you date?
