HP Printer Question

I remember printers awhile back that used to sort the print jobs out so that it's not all one big clump of paper on top of the printer, each print job was slightly shifted to one side or the other. I am now using a HPLaserJet 4350 and all my print jobs are running into this same clump and all the print jobs turn out looking like ONE print job. :cussing: Is anyone familiar with HP LaserJet 4350's? How can I make it so that all the print jobs don't turn into one big collated clump? Is there a code or something I can enter that would make each print job shift slightly to one side or the other? Thanks!

You can check your print settings to see if the collate is checked.

Thank you. :yay: Its a great suggestion, but I've already tried that. All that is listed under the Menu button is 1) Retrieve Job (no help); 2) Information (no help) 3) Paper Handling (what tray your papers coming from); 4) Configure Device (no help); 5) Diagnostics (no help) 6) Service (no help). I have no manual for this. The boss has one "somewhere".

What did you find when you googled "HPLaserJet 4350 + user instructions"?

google the printer model number along with a plus sign and the word collate or sort... see what you get...

Thank you, I'll see what I can come up with! :yay: I was wondering about ordering a new printer manual too while I was there looking around. Its just one of those quirky things that has been eating away at me for about 8 months now and today, it just got on my ever loving nerves when I remembered printers used to NOT collate the print jobs. I would want that as an automatic default - wouldn't other's? And then I was wondering if any of y'all computer people had a quick fix or something or maybe it was just a bug or something with HP4350s as you all probably have more technical experience than me. Thank you! I'm off to Googleland.

I just got rid of a HP printer. It was not very good. I now have a lexmark all in one and I  it. I would recommend Lexmark all the way. :yay:
