Yeah, I heard that also. Supposedly a record cold winter. I don't think anyone really knows what is going to happen, if anything at all!

So some of the antarctic ice is melting off.

A huge portion on the other side of the continent is increasing, resulting in a net increase in antarctic ice.

What's weird about this bit of new is that proponents of anthropogenic global warming claim that the *increase* is due to global warming, when only recently they were claiming that the decrease was due to global warming.

I'd have to concur with the writer of this article - if the climate adjusts this much back and forth over the same phenomenon, you'd have to conclude that the Earth's climate has more checks and balances than the U.S. Constitution, and it will take more than a little CO2 to perturb the world climate out of control.
