If it does more then likely your ok. Sprint and Verizon both offer a 15-30 day trial period. Give it a test run.
Latency menas in simple terms. The time it takes when you make a request in order for it to respond. VZ and Sprint EVDO.
FiOS averages 3-4ms
CABLE and DSL around 30-40ms (of course this is on a good day with no congestion)
Sprint or VZ EVDO 100-200ms
Hughesnet 1000-1200ms- The absolute worse.
Hughesnet promises you around 1meg downlaod I believe but trust me this means nothing because of the latency.A VPN is impossible. Gaming is impossible. Secure sites are terrible. Don't think you'll be able to do your banking online...
Just my 2 cents though

bfncbs1 said:I should say you can do banking but after trying and waiting you may go outside with a baseball bat to smash your dish.......Dial up is probably a better option when it comes to secure sites with hughesnet.
Banking, paypal, ebay, etc are horrible with hughesnet. Go with EVDO by sprint and you won't be disappointed.
